Lanzarote has entered phase two of the de-escalation on Monday 25th May. This will bring important changes in the permitted activities. One of the main ones will be the elimination of the time slots residents were allowed out to exercise, keeping only one time slot for the elderly. Phase two will allow reopening of beaches, cinemas and shopping centers.
The opening of the beaches will be another novelty, since until now you could only go for a run, walk or to swim in the sea. In phase two, you can go to sunbathe and take a bath between 10:00am-18:00pm ensuring the safety measures and distances are respected. In the same way, the new phase will also the reopening of the pools, both indoor and outdoor.
During phase 1 in Lanzarote businesses of less than 400 square meters were only allowed to open, but now they will be able to do all the others, including shopping centers, provided that the capacity allowed for this new phase is not exceeded, 30% of normal capacity in communal areas and 40% inside the shops. In addition, they can also open the interior premises of bars and restaurants to 50% capacity, which until now could only work with the outside terraces.
The new phase will also bring changes in cultural activities, since the reopening of cinemas and theaters will be allowed, with prior allocation of seats and with a capacity limit of 30%.
The message is still to stay safe during the de-escalation phases.
